Team news…vs. Chester City

The Magpies currently nurse a whole host of injury worries amongst their ranks.

Deeney: Suspended
A trio of Tony Scully, Mark Stallard and Mike Whitlow – after only recently having returned from a knee injury in time for Wednesday’s match– all reported slight knee injuries following the mid-week spanking at York Street making them doubts for tomorrow’s trip.

Whilst the injury of Scully seems somewhat trivial considering his involvement in the side of late, those of Stallard and Whitlow are sure to cause more worry for manager Richardson – who himself remains sidelined through knee injury – whose resources, at best, are threadbare.

With Saul Deeney set to serve the second of a three-match suspension for the red card picked up last weekend, Rob Elliot – who sustained a suspected broken nose in midweek – will continue to deputise with youth teamer, Karl Dryden in reserve.

Julian Baudet, however, has a good chance of scraping into the match at the eleventh hour should he manage to shake off the injury that has dogged him for all too long now.

Richardson could, however, hand a debut to his latest addition to the squad, Ruben Zadkovich. The young Australian, who signed a deal earlier today that’ll see him stay with the club until the end of the 2005/06 season, signed just in time to feature in tomorrow’s match.

Mike Edwards (knee), Gavin Gordon (jaw) and the close-to-returning Steve Scoffham (broken leg) all remain sidelined.
