Ouch: Johnson fell awkwardly on Monday, injuring his toes...
Notts County have been faced with a defensive crisis this week, with centre-back Michael Johnson falling awkwardly on Monday night, injuring his toes.

Because he is a doubt for tomorrow's game, Ian McParland has brought in former Nottingham Forest full-back, John Thompson on loan as cover.

Should Johnson not feature, the 27-year-old will expect to start at right-back, with Adam Tann shifting to centre of defence alongside Michael Edwards.

Stephen Hunt (groin) remains out of action, alongside Jason Beardsley (thigh) who has missed the last two games.

Adam Nowland could feature for the first time since the Luton Town game, following his return to full-training last week that saw him take up a seat on the bench against Brentford.

McParland will once again have to watch from the stands as he serves the final part of his two-match ban.

World Cup: Deen returns from the World Cup Qualifiers...
Macclesfield Town will welcome back defender Ahmed Deen from international duty with Sierra Leone at the expense of Jordan Hadfield, who is expected to drop to the bench.

Gareth Evans will no doubt start up front having netted in the 4-2 victory over Aldershot Town after returning from a three-match suspension.

Three others will be pushing for a start alongside Evans in attack, with manager, Keith Alexander having the choice of either Neil Harvey, Martin Gritton and Francis Green.

Long-term casualty, Jamie Tolley (knee) will not be available for selection in midfield.
