Exeter City may hand a debut to their newly recruited centre-back, Fred Murray, who was signed earlier in the week on a short-term contract.

Former 'Pie: Gill had a terrible time at Meadow Lane...
The Grecians will be without Neil Saunders in the centre of midfield, however, because he is once again out with a knee injury that plagued him for much of last season's promotion push.

Striker, Craig McAllister, will also miss out because of a three match suspension that will prevent him from playing for the remainder of the month.

Former Notts' midfielder, Matthew Gill, will definitely start for the home side.

Notts County could be without their captain, Mike Edwards, who is struggling with a 'niggling' groin problem, but he is expected to pull through in time.

Long-term lay-off, Stephen Hunt (groin), had a setback earlier this week, meaning that he should return to action at the end of October rather than the start.

Adam Nowland (hamstring) is the only other casualty, with Gavin Strachan

Headache: McParland will have a few selection headaches...
once again fit following his return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The ex-Peterborough midfielder is not yet ready to play a major role according to Ian McParland, so he will more than likely take a place on the bench for the second game running.

Notts' manager will have a selection problem up-front, as Sean Canham put in a strong claim for a starting position with his well taken goal against Accrington Stanley.

The goalless Delroy Facey could retain his position though, with McParland singing his praises to the Nottingham Evening Post earlier in the week.

Jamie Clapham is expected to be thrown into the squad, where he could make his first appearance for the club just one day after penning a short-term deal.
