Tann facing spell on sidelines

Tann has been at Meadow Lane on non-contract terms for over a month, but the injury - a replica of the one suffered by Steve Scoffham - casts a huge cloud over his Notts County future.

It now seems likely that the 23-year-old has played his last game for the Magpies, at least until a permanent deal can be fixed in the January transfer window.

Tann made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut in a 2-0 win over Bristol City, but blotted his copybook when he was sent-off for two bookable offences in the 2-2 draw at home to Torquay.

The former Cambridge defender was substituted during last night's debacle and x-ray's taken today revealed the worse.

"It is so frustrating," manager Gudjon Thordarson told the official website.

"The x-ray has revealed he (Tann) will be out for around six weeks, so we will have to battle on.

"It is unforunate for Adam and us. We will have to sit down and see where we go from here."

Ironically, the injury blow came on the same day Scoffham set his comeback date.

The striker suffered his break on the day Tann made his debut, but is now looking at a first-team return.

"I will be back and ready to return in the New Year," said Scoffham.
