Svensson returns

Notts County have today re-appointed former fitness coach Marcus Svensson, who spent three months with the club at the beginning of last season before leaving to become a sports scientist at Rochdale. However, after Henry Cleminson left his position at Meadow Lane at the end of last season, McParland has opted to offer Svensson his former position, which he has accepted with open arms.

32 year-old Swede Svensson was a popular figure in the Notts County dressing room last campaign, and it is hoped he will fit into the club smoothly and quickly allowing him to put the squad through their paces in pre-season. Notts are also searching for a new physio after Paul Smith left to join Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season, as Ian McParland looks to expand his backroom staff.
