Sutton comes on board

Sutton, who departed Elland Road recently due to a change in management at the club, has agreed to join Mills' team behind the scenes after Mills appointed Sutton - still held in very high esteem with our esteemed neighbours, Nottm Forest - as goalkeeping coach at Meadow Lane.

And now, almost seven years after leaving the club following a three-month stint, Sutton returns once more where he will be working alongside the previous goalkeeping coach, Darren Heyes. Heyes will now take on a lesser role in that he will handle youth affairs as well as scouting duties, with Sutton (pictured left) cornering first-team proceedings.

Mills told the club's Official web-site: "Steve was out of work after the new management was brought in at Leeds so before any other team snapped him up, I decided to do it myself."

"He's an excellent addition to the backroom and I feel the backroom staff are now in place."

Elsewhere, it has been confirmed that the club have been taking a look at Harrowby Utd striker, Martin Wormall, who was given a run-out at Sutton on Tuesday night.

The 24-year old who, much like Steve Scoffham - who County signed from non-league Gedling Town, has drawn interest from Gary Mills and has thus been handed the chance to impress during pre-season with a view to a potential move for the striker, who has previously attracted interest from Chelsea and Norwich.
