Super Stallard off to the Spireites

Stallard, who spent five years at Meadow Lane before leaving the club in January, has struggled to get a game for the Tykes since his arrival, featuring in just one game this month.

Legend
The striker has scored just one goal for the club in 15 appearences and has also struggled with injuries since his arrival.

The former fans' favourite has struggled for Barnsley since ex-Forest boss Paul Hart was appointed manager shortly after his arrival.

The former Notts defender, funded by Peter Risdale, has brought in a wealth of strikers including Michael Chopra, Mickey Boulding and Notts summer target Barry Conlon.

Stallard will hope that his spell on-loan to the Spireites- whose excellent start to the season has somewhat slowed a little- will help him rediscover his goal-scoring touch which has abandoned him of late.

The 30-year-old, still thought of very highly on the terraces of Meadow Lane, scored 77 goals in 211 appearences for the Magpies before being released to the Yorkshire outfit by new boss Gary Mills, who was keen to reduce the wage bill at the club.

We wish Stallard, who has also had spells at Derby, Bradford and Wycombe, all the best.
