Stockport County v Notts County...Preview

Last updated : 27 December 2006 By Gary Moss

This year on Boxing Day see's the battle of League Two's County's as Notts travel to Stockport.

Parky...Could start for Notts
Magpie's Andy Parkinson looks likely for a start after appearing as a substitute against Hereford, while defender Stephen Hunt may also be handed a place in the Notts side.

As for the home side, key man Adam Proudlock could miss out again with his foot injury.

Defender Rob Clare could return as could Tes Bramble who looks likely to start.

Stockport with just one win in their last six league games are in desperate need of a win, as are Notts who have slipped to eight in the table following three home defeats on the bounce.

The last meeting between the two sides earlier this season saw Notts collect three points in a 1-0 win at Meadow Lane, with Junior Mendes on target.

As for last season, the Magpie's took a point from Edgeley Park, and the year before it was two each with Caskey and Platt on the score sheet.

So, it's somewhat of a happy hunting ground for Notts.

Moss' Prediction:

Notts to scrape Christmas cracker.

Stockport 2 -3 Notts
