Sponsorship Windfall

Fast food giants McDonalds will be sponsoring the Family Stand for the rest of the season, while Nottingham's Victoria Centre will sponsor the Kop Stand.

Albert Scardino revealed at The Fans Forum last month that stand sponsorship was in the pipeline before the QPR game.

"To get McDonald's and the Victoria Centre involved in this way is a major achievement for Notts County," Scardino told the Evening Post

"It won't solve our financial problems, but it's a big step in the right direction.

"What we need now is for other companies to come forward.

"We're quite prepared to re-name the Jimmy Sirrel Stand and the Main Stand and are eagerly looking for the right people."

Scardino was also keen to add that the clubs commercial business is on the up

"Our commercial business is running 20 to 25% better than last year and this latest sponsorship arrangement reflects our progress.

"For the past 18 months we've been working tirelessly to make this club a community club and are starting to change things step by step."
