Stallard's strike was his 22nd goal of the season and his 15th in his last 17 games, a fantastic record for the frontman and nothing more than he deserves after having an awful time last season with a double hernia problem.

And after the game, the Chesterfield boss was quick to praise Stallard:

"He is just a quality striker. Every manager would like a player like him in their team because you know there is always a chance he will get you something," Said Rushbury

"His contribution was enough to earn them a point and that is obviously invaluable." He added.

Stallard is just one goal short of his previous season best of 23, achieved in the 2000-2001 season.
