After what was last season thought to be an important milestone on season ticket sales, the fans of Notts County Football Club pushed such a landmark further still, the club proudly revealing a 20% rise in ticket sales on last years total as sales hit the 2,400 mark. As the change in format of season passes from the previous, season tickets to the current, season ticket memberships proved a popular one with, as forecasted, the change in arrangements prompting a one-fifth rise in sales.

Mark Durkin told the Club's Official Site: "Firstly, we'd like to thank all the people who have invested in the club this season. We're 20% up on last year which is very good, and we even sold 50 Season Tickets on the day of the Chester game, which contributed for some of the queues at the Ticket Office as these transactions take considerably longer than a normal ticket purchase,"
Meanwhile, County's Welsh young-gun, David Pipe [pitctured] captained
his indigenous Wales in under-21 action to a 0-0 draw against their Latvian counterparts. The Welsh, who ran out as for the first time under Glyn Hodges since his appointment, will feel hard-done-by not to have grabbed the spoils when Cardiff's Nicky Fish and Arsenal's Adam Birchall both missed good chances to put the Dragons ahead. But Latvia were not without chances themselves, debutant 'keeper, Lewis Price showing sharp reflexes to turn away Intars Kirhners header on the hour mark. But it was Captain Marvel, David Pipe himself who could so easily have claimed the game for himself late-on; his 20-yard shot flying narrowly over the cross-bar in stoppages in the Welshman's preparations for the European Champion Qualifiers next month, against Azerbaijan and Germany.
