Scunthorpe make Lillis available for loan

Scunthorpe United boss Nigel Adkins has said he is willing to allow young goalkeeper Josh Lillis to leave Glanford Park on a season long loan. Lillis impressed when he spent a month on loan at Meadow Lane in December, and it is possible Ian McParland could be tempted to move to bring in Lillis for a longer period this season.

Lillis is behind Joe Murphy, who has just signed a new deal, in the pecking order, and former Bottesford Town goalkeeper Sam Slocombe appears to prove back up that Adkins is content with.

However, with senior 'keepers Russell Hoult and Kevin Pilkington both still on the Magpies' books, it is perhaps unlikely that a third 'keeper will be heading to Meadow Lane unless one of the two departs the club this summer.
