Robertson said “I thought we were pretty dominant against a good Colchester side. From the start of the game, we dominated the ball and that continued for long spells throughout the game.
“It was frustrating to pick up the knock at the time that I did within the season but it was good to be back out there again and to help the team pick up a good win. I’d like to think that I can do both sides of the game really well, and I think I’ve shown that over the last few months in spells.”
“It’s about making a good case for myself in this team given we’re at the end of the season now. The last few results have been okay after the form in February and March which has let us down in the end. The last five have been good for the most part and, hopefully, we can take some of that positive momentum into our preparations for next season.
“I’m excited to be in with the club from the start of the season and hopefully we’ll be fighting at the top end of the table come the end. I feel like I’ve settled now and found a new football home but at the same time, the results on the pitch haven’t been the best.
“It’s been a weird experience in that sense but from a personal perspective I’m really happy to be here and excited to hopefully push on next year.”
