Ironically, the 20 year old former Gedling Town star Scoffham was only officially unveiled before the kick-off yesterday’s match, meanwhile the Supporter’s Trust have handed over to Gedling Town the agreed initial £5,000 fee for the striker.
“It is too early to say how bad the injury is.” Gary Mills told the Nottingham Evening Post.
“But it goes without saying that this is not what you want to happen in a behind-closed-doors friendly. Things like this happen in football and we just have to hope that it isn't too bad.”
“All we know at the moment is that he has injured his knee, to what degree remains to be seen.”
The match took place so manager Gary Mills could look at SIX more potential signings, with the two sides consisting of a mixture of Notts players and these trialists, one of which was former F****t striker Mickael Antoine-Curier, who impressed Gary Mills the most. Mills commented;
“We might take another look at Mickael, he did okay and scored a decent goal.”
“There were one or two of the lads who we might consider again.”
However, Notts fans shouldn't worry too much about Scoffham's injury, as we understand it might not be as bad as first thought.
