It has been announced today on the Club’s Official Site that Gedling Town have given Steve Scoffham and Notts County the go-ahead to discuss personal terms.

Roland Ash,
Gedling Town’s Chairman has accepted an undisclosed fee from Notts County for their star striker and now Gary Mills will be hoping that Scoffham accepts the terms on offer and will be available to play some part in the upcoming game away at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

After a week of yo-yoing things finally seem to be looking up in the striker department at
Meadow Lane, having missed out on Tommy Johnson re-joining the club and opting to stay at Gillingham and with Gedling’s chairman appearing to be set on a bigger fee for Steve Scoffham. But now everything seems to be ‘falling into place’

Scoffham, who’s current day job is in the building trade was contracted with Northern Counties East League side Gedling Town until 2005, but had spent last week at Meadow Lane on trial with the Magpies after being invited by Gary Mills with a view to signing professional terms for the club.
