Schofield: "They're great!"

Lincoln City Head Coach John Schofield today praised the work being done at Meadow Lane, by ex-Imp Steve Thompson.

Ahead of the Magpies' clash with Hereford tomorrow night, Schofield wasn't lacking in praise for his League 2 counterpart, insisting that Thompson is "doing great!"

He added: "Thommo is doing a fantastic job. I played under him and worked with the bloke and he's doing fantastic."

Lincoln sit in fourth position in League 2, whilst Notts are in eighth place. The sides met on the opening day of the season at Sincil Bank, with Adie Moses opening for the hosts, and a Jeff Hughes own goal earning Notts a point.

Schofield added, "He threw together a quickly assembled side in the summer and the longer the season goes on the more the fans are realising what a good job he's doing."
