Scardino's letter to the fans

Last updated : 08 May 2002 By Notts County Mad

Dear Sir/Madam

The rush will soon be on for season tickets for the coming season, and because you are a true Countyrite you can reserve yours now at a special rate.

I am writing to all our supporters during the next few days and, to give you the size of the operation, I can tell you that the cost of the stamps alone will be £1.72p.

The comfort of supporters is being given priority, and a season ticket will entitle you to 4 seats so that you can lay down and watch the match or doze off if you wish.

Please note that tickets only available for the J Sirrel stand as the Main Stand is to become a Multy - Storey car park, and the County Road stand is to be converted into a triple Cinema and Bingo complex.

To deter invasion of the pitch, we are converting the running track into a moat and you will be able, at a small extra charge, to sail around in a black and white Gondola and watch the game from various angles.

It will be all out for promotion to Div 1 (as usual) and the following innovations will be introduced to achieve our aim.

1. The regular first team are to be transferred and the team will be chosen from the first 20 supporters to arrive at the ground before the game.

2. Referees will be threatened, bribed or have a sudden heart attack before the kick off time.

3. The ball will be radio controlled from the trainers bench.

4.Two or three of the opponents will be locked in the changing room and we will substitute them with plastic models of exact likeness.
