Scardino In Transfer Warning

The Magpies overcame a transfer embargo last week to sign Manchester City midfielder Jeff Whitley on a months loan, after getting special dispensation from the Football League to sign the 23 year old.

Scardino told BBC Radio Nottingham:
"Billy will have the resources to build on a solid financial basis" the Chairman said.

"But we're not going to be going out into the market and spending 2 & 3 Million bringing in a new group of stars, we cannot go on overspending" he added.

Boss Billy Dearden has brought in only 2 players during his time at Notts, Whitley has come in on loan twice and Simon Ramsden arrived in August on a season long loan from Sunderland.
