Same again at Spotland

Returning?: McParland has expressed his desire to re-sign Jonathan Forte on loan.
Recent outgoings look set to bare no effect on the Magpies' squad for today's trip to Spotland.

After such a terrific attacking display on Saturday that saw Myles Weston and Jamie Forrester hit top form, Ian McParland is unlikely to make any changes.

He is, however, still on the prowl to bring in a speed-demon to give him more options up front.

Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post he expressed his desire to bring Jonathan Forte back to the club.

He said: "We have got Delroy (Facey) and Sean (Canham), who can both hold the ball up.

"But I would like to get somebody who is very quick, then we have got another option in there. It would be nice to get Jonathan back, and we will keep trying."

The only recent injury news is of a positive nature with Richard Butcher stepping up his rehabilitation from his broken metatarsal. He is expected to fight for a place inside a month.

Goalkeepers, Kevin Pilkington (knee) and Russell Hoult (shoulder) both remained sidelined, allowing Scunthorpe's agile stopper, Josh Lillis to retain his spot between the sticks.

Rochdale are sweating over the fitness of on-loan winger, Nicky Adams. The Leicester City man picked up a knock after scoring in the Dales' 3-2 loss to Dagenham & Redbridge at the weekend.

Should he miss out alongside long-term victim, Lee Thorpe (back), he is likely to be replaced by Lee McEvilly.
