Royals Starlet In Caskey Regret

Caskey left Reading in July 2001 to join The Magpies on a free transfer after five successful years with The Royals, making over 200 appearances and scored 45 goals.

Harper, who was signed from Arsenal in January 2001, today praised Notts midfielder Caskey and admitted he was "gutted" when he left The Madjeski Stadium to move north to Nottingham.

"He (Caskey) was a top man and the only regret I've got about my time at Reading is that I didn't get to play with him because I really wanted to." Harper told Reading's Official Site.

"He took me under his wing towards the end of the that season when I came and he tought me the ropes to an extent.

"I was abit gutted I got robbed of his presence."
