Ritchie wants to stay at Notts

Notts County's loanee winger Matt Ritchie has said that he hopes to impress Hans Backe enough to earn an extension to his loan deal until the end of the season. Ritchie's initial loan runs out at the end of December, but the left winger has said he hopes to stay at Meadow Lane until the end of the season.

Ritchie quickly impressed after scoring 2 goals on his first start for the club in a 5-2 demolition of Northampton Town, but has flattered to deceive in recent appearances and will be hoping for a return to form and to the scoresheet. The 20 year-old was a long term target for former manager Ian McParland, before he landed the youngster on loan until December 31st from Portsmouth.
