Richardson offered the talented 18-year-old a contract late last week, after he had impressed in his two reserves games since joining the club on trial from QPR.

Richardson: Anxious for new signings
Zadkovich has been told by the Loftus Road side that he can leave, and Richardson is hoping to tie-up a deal that will make the young Australian-born player his first permanent signing since taking over as player/boss back in November.

And whilst Zadkovich is is believed to be training with the Magpies' first team squad, he is weighing up his options before signing for the club on a permanent basis.

"We have made an offer to Reuben and we are waiting for a response," Richardson told the NEP.

"We are expecting a reply from his agent in the very near future.

"He is a player we do want to sign. Saturday's performance did show there is a need for a couple of new faces, just to add a little depth."

The young Aussie has never played for QPR's first team, but caught the eye in particular in the reserves' 1-1 draw at home to Grimsby last Wednesday.

The central midfielder showed a willingness to run at players, whilst also managing to vocally rouse his team-mates.
