Richo deal still on the table

Richardson is out of contract this summer but has been training with the club and Dearden hinted that a deal could still be struck with the 31-year-old.

"Richo's training with us and is looking as fit as anyone out on that pitch at the moment," Dearden told the club's website.

"He wanted to take part in these early friendly fixtures but with him not being contracted to the club I didn't want to risk the chance of him getting injured so decided not to allow him to play."

Richardson joined County from Birmingham City six years ago and has made over 200 appearances for the club.

"Richo's training with us and is looking as fit as anyone out on that pitch at the moment,"

Dearden added: "We've spoken recently and things have improved, we just have to see what agreement we can come to.

"We've only got a small squad, and if we can add to it then it would be a great help."
