Richardson hails Notts' performance

The 34-year old, who saw his Notts side come from behind to claim victory against play-off hopefuls Darlington, has come out with praise galore for his side, tarnished by injury, after claiming a 2-1 over the Quakers.

Richardson...being happy. Nevermind.
Goals from David Pipe and Kelvin Wilson helped push the Magpies nine points clear of the drop-zone, into twentieth position.

The victory ended a run of three straight defeats for the Magpies.

Speaking after yesterday’s win, ‘Richo’ said: "We had our game plan to contain (Craig) Hignett and it worked a treat. We changed our formation throughout the game and deserved to win."

"This was our best away performance of the season and it will do our confidence the world of good."

Notts now go into Tuesday’s re-scheduled match with Northampton Town on the back of only their ninth league victory of the season.
