Resignation?

Only official confirmation from the club is now needed, but Sky Sports News and BBC Radio Nottingham are just two of the names that have announced that Dearden's gone.

Quite frankly, I'm glad. He was taking the club down and the club is in desperate need of a new face, who at least might get the team playing with a bit of fire in their bellies, after the shambles we watched last night.

It seems ironic, though, that Dearden handed in his notice BEFORE the game, in which we were absoloutly mauled by one of our relegation rivals (report to come later in the day).

There should be no shortage of replacements for Billy, plenty of good non-league bosses about, Nigel Clough for one, while Gary Mills will probably be the favourite as he has been talked about as Dearden's replacement for a long time now, Ex Notts star Dean Thomas, Nicky Law and Lawrie Sanchez could also be in the frame.

NCM will let you know as soon as the club officially announce if Dearden has resigned or not.
