Reserves In Action Tomorrow

After the shocking performance on Saturday at Huddersfield, it comes as no surprise that boss Billy Dearden is considering putting a number of the first team into the reserves to "focus a few minds".

However, it is not as simple as it may seem for Dearden. Notts have one of the smallest squads in the Division, and cannot afford to pick up any injuries. So Dearden will mull over the decision today, before making a final decision.

The Notts boss told the Nottingham Evening Post;
"It has crossed my mind to play a few of the senior players in the reserves," said Dearden.
"It is something I will give careful thought to, because it might be good to try to focus a few minds.
"There may be a few players in the comfort zone.
"Perhaps this would be a way of reminding players not to take their place for granted.
he added
"But the last thing we can afford at the moment is getting anyone injured.
"It is a big gamble but one I may take."

Dearden is obviously keen on the idea, and there may be a few familiar faces from the first team starting for the reserves.

Kick off is at 2:00pm at Meadow Lane.
