Reaction To Cup Draw

Notts boss Billy Dearden was disappointed Notts were not given a home game in the draw, and says his side won't be going up to Deepdale just to make up the numbers.

"Financially it isn't too good for us, but we'll go up there and hopefully get through to the next round." Dearden told the clubs Official Website this afternoon.

"Preston will think it's an easy draw for them, but we will make sure it won't be." Added the Magpies manager.

It is the third season on the trot Notts have been drawn away in Round One of the League Cup since the First Round was reduced to just the one leg, following First Round trips to Mansfield Town and Oldham Athletic during the past two seasons, which saw a 4-3 win and a 3-2 loss.
