Notts are hopeful that Ramsden, 20, has himself agreed verbally to sign on a season's loan wil sign from Sunderland and Dearden feels his versatility is also vital as he can play at right back and also as a centre back.

Foster, the former Bristol Rovers captain, has been on trial for nearly 3 weeks and Dearden is keen to work with Foster again after they worked together at Mansfield a number of years ago.
