Ramsden Likely To Full Void

The Magpies have only 1 fit centre half for the game with the local rivals, and Dearden is likely to put the on loan Sunderland defender into the heart of the defence as Nicky Fenton and Ian Richardson will miss the game with suspension.

Ramsden stepped into the centre of defence for the last 30 minutes against Chesterfield on Saturday and did not look out of place as he gave yet another impressive performance.

Unless something changes over the next week or so, Ramsden will team up with Craig Ireland at the back and either Danny Stone or Richard Holmes will drop in at right back.

Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post:
Dearden - "Simon Did A Good Job"
"Simon did a good job once he had gone into the middle, after Richo was sent off. He saved us with a couple of clearances off the line, early in the first half."
said Dearden

"David Reeves was the only player causing us a problem in the air and Nicky Fenton was handling him without a problem.
"But Simon coped with everything that was thrown at him and he will probably have to play in the middle again against Mansfield.
"We also have Craig Ireland to consider too, so we will be able to cover one way or another."
he added.
