Edwards... Badly missed by fans

After a disappointing defeat at League Two bottom Lincoln City, it is hardly a surprise to see such a negative reaction on the NCM board.

The Magpies have conceded soft goals all season long and the retuirn of club captain Mike Edwards will go a long way in solving that worrying issue.

But after a brief up turn in form with three straight league wins, the last couple of weeks have signified what a tough job Charlie McParland has walked into at Meadow Lane.

It will take time for the former Forest man to turn things around on the pitch. He needs time to bring in his own players, build a good spirit in the camp and get Notts playing the kind of football that will bring back fans.

With a squad largely built to play the 'Thompson way', it will take more than a few weeks to see evidence of a side capable of escaping League Two.
