Notts County conceded late on in the proceedings yet again against Accrington Stanley on Saturday, costing them other two-points.

On a positive note, summer signing Sean Canham scored his first ever goal for the club, coming off the bench to put Notts ahead in the latter stages.

Here are some of the comments from after the game…

Ian McParland on his side letting in yet another late goal: "Again we let in a goal very quickly after scoring - and until we learn how to hold onto a lead we will struggle.

"If we can cut out those errors we will move up the table - if not we will be scrapping again.

"I feel sorry for them (the players) driving back with a win snatched away from them again.

"But I'm sure they are watching the football we are playing and know that win will come." (Magpie World)

Sean Canham could not hide his delight after scoring his first league goal for the Magpies: "Obviously to score your first league goal is something very special.

"I just hope it is the start for me, and that more will come.

"I'm just disappointed we didn't win the game because it was so close in the end.

"It was bittersweet to be honest, but it will happen for us soon." (Notts County Football Club Official Website)

Michael Edwards declared his frustration at once again conceding late on: "It is sickening. It was a cruel blow for them to concede so late but then for us to concede straight after is so frustrating.

"We have got to show another side to our game and go on and win matches. It is going to come but it is just frustrating because the more games it goes on for, the further behind we fall and the greater the gap we have to catch-up.

"We should have won games and that is the disappointing thing. We have to stop this happening.

"The positive is we came away from home and got a point, but it should have been three.

"We are creating and we are attack-minded but we have to kill teams off and get goals.

"If we continue letting teams back in we will not get anywhere. We need those wins sooner rather than later." (Nottingham Evening Post)
