Matty Platt was delighted to get the only goal of the game in County's 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

“We were pushing for that goal, and I’ve popped up with one, so I’m delighted to get the win and the clean sheet," he said. "We’ve talked about not conceding that first goal at home. We weren’t at our best to start with, but we kept it tight at the back.

“The longer we keep it at 0-0, then the more chance we have because we know at some point that the momentum will shift. That is what we saw in the second half, and I think we deserved to win in the end.

“We just didn’t want to concede anything sloppy in that first half because, at times like that, the game is not free-flowing, and there aren’t many chances for either team, so one moment could decide the result.”
