Pipe agrees permanent deal!

The news will come as a major boost to Notts' fans who have taken Pipe- on loan from Coventry- to their hearts.

The 20-year-old right sider has been on loan almost the entire of Mills' reign, after he made his debut on January 17th in the 1-0 win at Wrexham.

He has performed ably at right back and occasionaly on the right side of midfield throughout his loan spell and has received numerous man of the match accolades, not least from this website!

The pacey Welsh international has, in principle, agreed a contract that will see him become a Notts County player until the end of the 05/06 season.

"I am delighted that Pipey has decided to stay with us," Manager Mills told the Evening Post.

"He has agreed a contract that will keep him here for the rest of this campaign and for two further seasons.

"There is just the financial aspect of it to resolve.

"Hopefully that won't be a problem. I don't believe it will be, because he wants to come and we obviously want him here.

"But he does have another year left on his contract at Coventry, which includes a little bit of a pay rise over the summer."

If the stumbling block can be overcome, there's no doubt that the signing of Pipe on a permanent basis is one of the best bits of news in a long time, as the full-back has been one of our star performers in every one of the 13 games he's played for Notts. He really is THAT good.

If/when Pipe does officially sign, NCM will not only be the happiest website in the world, will take the time out to let you know too.
