Notts' number one is forthright in his views that Notts can turn it around and continue to chase a Playoff place. However, he is adamant that the players can't do it by themselves, “The fans have got to get behind us aswell, and give us a hand.”
In his interview with Magpie World, Pilkington knows what the side must do, “We need to start putting our away form into our home form.
“We have got to get teams here and turn them over and do what we do away, battle and harry, and put teams under pressure.”

During December, Pilkington lost his place in the side to Saul Deeney, following a loss of form. On being dropped, Pilkington finally broke his silence, “The gaffer made his points clear. We had a chat and he explained his decisions and I said I'd knuckle down and fight for my place and I've got it back.”
Since his return, supporters have been reasonably impressed with Pilkington, who is now in his second season following his arrival from local rivals Mansfield Town. On his form Pilkington said, “Apart from the Chester game, the Chester game was horrible for everyone, but apart from that I'm quite pleased. It's nice to get back in, hopefully I can stay there.”
Next up is bottom side Torquay United at Meadow Lane, surely a must win game, “they're fighting for their lives and we've got to put a nail in their coffin.”
