Pegguy Not To Blame

Mills was pleased with Arphexad’s performance in the 1-1 draw even after a blunder in the 78th minute, which saw Arphexad drop the ball after claiming a cross from Darren Currie, which in turn lead to Nathan Tyson latching onto the loose ball and knocking home the equaliser which denied Notts all 3 match points, but manager Mills refused to criticise Arphexad for the blunder.

Mills told the
Nottingham Evening Post; “Pegguy was disappointed in himself. He apologised in the dressing room after the match.

Not To Blame Says Mills
But nobody is going to blame him; it was just one of those things.

And, even when the cross came in, he looked to have claimed it cleanly.

But it just slipped from his grasp when he hit the ground.”

And in recognition of his otherwise good performance, Mills was quick to praise Arphexad’s overall performance between the sticks and highlighted that he made a number of fantastic saves, which kept Notts in the game.

”He had made a superb save just before the goal.

It is unfortunate and he is upset about it. But nobody is going to be critical of him for that."
