Pead set to stay

Pead's form has mirrored that of the teams during his month here, with the skillful midfielder failing to impress at Meadow Lane, but impressing on his travels.

The midfielder has featured in six games, starting five of them, but was substituted early on in both of the league games at home, against Southend and Leyton Orient.

Mills: Keen on Pead
Despite this, Mills believes he has seen enough promise from the 23-year-old to keep him for another month.

"We are just waiting to hear from Coventry as to whether they are willing to let him stay with us for a little longer and under what terms," Mills told the NEP.

"Then we have to see if there is the money available here to keep him on.

"But there is no question that we would very much like to.

"Certainly, on Sunday, he demonstrated his true abilities, with what was his best performance so far for us."

French forward Sofiane, however, has now gone back to Upton Park. The skillful striker-cum-winger showed glimpses of potential during his time at Meadow Lane, but, ultimately, suffered because of the amount of strikers on the club's books.

The skillful 20-year-old played 5 games, scoring once in the LDV cup tie against Wrexham. We wish him all the best.
