Pavis, County’s former chairman, has told Magpies supporters to expect news about the bid in a public announcement in the near future – possibly tomorrow.
In an interview with the Evening Post he said;
"I can't say too much because I do have a habit of letting my mouth run away with me and giving out information that I shouldn't,"
"But I can say that there is a meeting on Wednesday evening with most of the people involved.
"And there may be more news after that. We are making good progress, everything is on course for completion.
"We are in the process of completing all the due diligence and, although these things always take time, we are getting there."
