Parkin in return to Rochdale?

What is clear is that Rochdale FC announced today that they have approached Notts County FC regarding a member of their coaching staff.

It is assumed that the person in question is former Rochdale man Steve Parkin, who has been linked with the job for the past month or so and let's be honest, who else would they want from our coaching staff. Dearden perhaps?

This speculation could mean that Parkin, who left Spotland just over two years ago, could well be returning as the replacement for Alan Buckley, maybe before the year is out.

Parkin has also been linked with the Notts job recently, as current boss Billy Dearden has come more and more under-fire from supporters, though it now looks like Rochdale have beat us to it.

Parkin was popular at Rochdale with the clubs supporters, he spent two and a half years there, before leaving the club second in the Third Division for a job at then First Division Barnsley.

NCM will keep you informed with all the latest developments on this latest twist within the club.
