Notts trial youngsters

Richardson – who saw the return of crocked striker, Steve Scoffham to training earlier this week – has taken a foursome of youngsters on on a trial basis, all of whom shall go into the squad to travel up to the McAlpine Stadium this afternoon.

Sam Wright (West Ham), Craig Mudd (Rotherham) and Ruben Zadkovic and Luke Townsend (both QPR) all join the Magpies on an open trial from Championship clubs, all dwelling in their respective youth academies until of late.

The news comes following young Charlton goalkeeper, Rob Elliot’s loan stay with the club having been further extended, after he was initially on trial with the Magpies.

None of those trialled have featured in first team action for their clubs, although some – if not all – are expected to feature for the Magpies second string earlier this afternoon. Kick off was 2’o’ clock.
