The draw for Round One was at 10:00am on Wednesday 25th June.

The Carling Cup will be broadcast live on Sky Sports for the next three seasons.

ITV will screen highlights of next season’s competition on a regional basis he League Cup was the brainchild of former FL secretary Alan Hardaker.

Introduced in 1960/61, this season is the 44th year of the competition.

Each season the competition generates approx £40m of revenue, £25m of which stays within the FLThe winners of the Carling Cup qualify for a place in the UEFA Cup.
