Notts Will Start The Season At Ashton Gate

The Magpies will start their season against The Robins on the 9th August, and it's not the first time these two have met on an opening day fixture, having met five teams before on an opening day match.

The following weekend see's Notts' first home game against Wrexham, and highlights include Queens Park Rangers at home on Boxing Day and Sheffield Wednesday come to town on Easter Monday, while it's a home game for the final match in May, when Oldham Athletic come to Meadow Lane.

Previous opening day matches against The Robins saw at 1-0 win for Notts away on August 28th during the 1920-21 season, a 2-1 loss at home in the 1927-28 season, a 3-1 home win on the opening day of the 1929-30 season, a 1-0 home in on 19th August during the 1961-62 season and finally a 0-0 home draw on 27th August for the 1988-89 season.
