Notts start against Grimsby

Notts will start an expected promotion push next season with a difficult looking first month.

it more difficult that in previous seasons as they face four of the sides expected to challenge for promotion after strengthening their squads considerably over the past few weeks already.

After the Mariners away Notts host recently relegated Brentford before a difficult trip to Darlington.

The two fixtures fans look out for straightaway are the local derby encounters with Mansfield Town.

As usual Notts are away to the Stags first on October 20 before the home game on March 29.

Notts will once again be away on the last day as they travel to Chesterfield, which is shaping to be a nailbiter, the MK Dons visit Meadow Lane.

New Years Day sees a long trip to Hereford United.

With several local derbies ahead next season, other dates fans will be particularly interested in are clashes against Lincoln City and the reverse fixtures with Chesterfield and Grimsby.

Notts travel to Sincil Bank in November before the home clash - on a Tuesday night - is in March.

League Two newcomers Bradford City and Morecambe are two attractive ties to look forward to.

City are played twice within two months, away at the end of January and at home at the end of February while Morecamebe visit Nottingham for Notts second home game of the season with the return on January 26.
