Former Leicester City defender, Jamie Clapham has today signed a short-term contract with the Magpies.
Rumours had been flying around that the 32-year-old left-back had been training with Notts, which was today confirmed. 
The free agent has a wealth of experience, having made over 400 appearances, including spells in the top flight with Birmingham City and Ipswich Town.
With the news that Stephen Hunt will now be missing until late October, Clapham has been brought in to ensure that County have enough cover in the defensive line.
Clapham will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game with Exeter City, where he could make his debut.
