Notts seal McDonald loan

Notts County have tied up a deal that will see Burnley midfielder Kevin McDonald join the club on loan until the end of the season. The former Scotland Under 21 international had lost his way at Turf Moor under former manager Brian Laws and isn't in the plans of new boss Eddie Howe. Since joining from Dundee, where he was managed by Notts asistant Alex Rae, his finest moments for the Clarets have been a brace in a Carling Cup semi-final against Arsenal and a late equaliser in a 3-3 draw with Manchester City during Burnley's brief stay in the Premiership.
