Notts County are set to take highly rated Swedish forward Mario Simunovic on trial next week. The young forward-cum-attacking midfielder plays for Degerfors IF, the club where Sven-Goran Eriksson and Tord Grip launched their managerial careers. Simunovic impressed as Degerfors coasted the Division 1 Norra last season, taking them into the Swedish second tier for the 2010 season. Simunovic spent last week on trial at Doncaster Rovers, getting four assists in a friendly win over Mansfield Town.
