Notts Fail To Come Out Of Administration

Notts appealed to the High Court on Monday, and were hoping to follow in Lincoln City's footsteps and come out of administration.

But the Court believes Notts are just quite not there yet to be able to deal with their finances on their own, which came as a huge blow to all concerned.

No-one could be more disappointed that Magpies boss Billy Dearden, who was hoping Notts would get the all clear so he could begin adding to the squad, starting with Simon Ramsden and Steve Foster.

Dearden has not had much luck in the transfer department since taking over at Meadow Lane. After he arrived Notts had a transfer embargo slapped on them after asking the PFA to pay the players wages.

Despite that, Dearden managed to bring out the best in the squad he had got, and helped Notts avoid the drop and he gained Manager of the Month for March.
And following "The Great Escape" Dearden was very keen to add to his squad and build on what was achieved in the last 10 games, however following his summer break he returned to learn Notts were in administration.

Chances to come out of administration don't come around that often, and the next time Notts can apply is October. So until the Notts County Football Club will be in administration.
