Magpies head coach Ian Burchnall said "We actually spoke to Lewis on Monday.
"We've had loads of interest in him from a couple of clubs mainly around the league below.
"He obviously got that setback against Boston United in pre-season. I thought he was doing really well in pre-season.
"There's plenty to add with him. He's got pace and he's very direct with his running.
"But it's tough when you've come into a team, hasn't got quite got the run only to start really well in pre-season then miss a lot of match time.
"A short-term loan would benefit him massively. He's still a couple of weeks away from fitness.
"Tyreace has suffered an injury and is just building up. As soon as he is back to fitness we will get him loaned out to a lower league club, give him the minutes and see how he progresses.
"The most important thing is that even if they go out on loan they still get the training time with us and they still get developed in our way.
"It's just for the matches they go out."
