Hackworth - 30 Yard Run
The Notts line-up included a number of fringe players including Richard Holmes, Tony Hackworth, Michael Brough, Mark Warren and Kevin Nicholson.

But Mark Stallard and Liam Chilvers failed to return to action which makes them doubtful for Saturday's game at Cambridge United.

Paul Dalglish's 35th minute opener was cancelled out with 3 minutes before half-time when a 30 yard run by Hackworth culminated in a low-shot that beat the Wigan keeper.

Danny Stone cleared off the line right on half-time but Jason
Heffernan
de Vos fired the ball past Saul Deeney from the resulting corner.

The introduction of Paul Heffernan and Spencer Commons in the second half re-invigorated County but they were unable to get an equaliser as Wigan ran out 2-1 winners.
