The striker said “There’s a lot more to come from us. We’re growing in confidence and are still working on learning each other’s roles so it’s early days.

“It was a difficult start (against Chorley) but we managed to get back into it and then we stuck to what we were doing and tried to play football.

“We had to stay disciplined and got the ball moving to create opportunities instead of getting frustrated and just pumping it forwards.

“I was disappointed not to score at Ebbsfleet but I knew that I would get opportunities and, if I do, I know I’ll score.

“I knew that the longer the game went on their defence would tire and if I came on and was lively, I might get a couple of chances.

“That’s what happened for the first goal. I anticipated the ball going across the box and put it in the back of the net.

“It’s nice to get off the mark. Hopefully there are more to come."
