Notts appoint new Chief Executive

The club's official website today posted a brief statement announcing the appointment of Geoff Davey as Chief Executive.

Davey, the club's Operations Manager, represents one of the first of many imminent changes being put forward by the new, seven-man Board of Directors, with their plans for a shake-up now appearing to have kicked-off with the appointment.

Davey is appointed with immediate effect, with the experience gained during his time as Managing Director here between 1996 and 2002 looking to stand him in good stead in his new role.

The new chief exec will move into the role vacated by Patrick Nelson, who only yesterday took up the same post with League Two rivals and, ironically, Saturday's opponents Macclesfield Town.

NCM, naturally, wish Davey all the best in his new role.
